• After having made some changes to the user fields, deleting and adding, the content and the design is messed up:

Entering new values does not reset the old values.

How do I clean up the content of the member cards?

I would like to add a text element to the member cards, but I do not want to show all the text, but only eg the first five lines, to keep the design of the member cards. So I am looking for an option to handle the overflow as hidden or short text. How do I achieve that?

As I mentioned earlier, if you have “Lorem ipsum” everywhere, then it’s hard to get to the root of the issue, or even get a superficial understanding of the issue. It may be that the field is appearing twice. Or it may be some other info coming from somewhere else entirely. If there’s just unintelligible, indistinguishable text, there is no way to know.

Either way, this extension doesn’t store any info anywhere (except db flags for fields to show on cards). It is merely a “display-level” extension. If the old text is appearing then something (likely another extension) is sending it to the display layer. So I have to make the suggestion that is often made on these forums and rarely taken well: disable all extension and start enabling one-by-one to identify the culprit. Also while diagnosing, stick to the WordPress stock theme.

Hi, I have done what you suggested, and have disabled all extensions but BuddyPress and Enhanced Member Cards, but the issue persist.

The content text from the multi-line text area field is still displayed, even if the “show on card” option is disabled. Overwriting does not help either. The only thing that helps is disabeling Enhanced Member Cards plugin.

So it is not an issue caused by another extension. Do you have any suggestions to how to locate and delete this text?

    Regards
    Carsten
