• My paid hosting says my website is reached to 1 GB of webspace, and I’d like to check for this notice, since my plugin Hosting Monitor says it’s backing up to about 0,7.

I’m using a small theme, few plugins, about 200 posts and pages, and for every post I upload light images.

A couple of months ago my host said I were using about 0,5 GB of my 1 GB webspace.

I don’t think I have uploaded so many heavy weight images or other stuff.

Is there a way to check the real size of my website? Otherwise I’ll need to get a more expensive plan or change my hosting.

    Thanks.

  • Hello,

It is very rare for a website with 200 posts and pages to reach 1GB of webspace. Unless you have plenty of images per posts. I suspect that some plugins are eating up your spaces. I don’t think there is a way to get the exact size of your Website besides checking your wp-content folder and SQL database size.

Hi KC, thanks for your answer and your suggests.

Yesterday I cheched via Filezilla my wp-content folder, it seems to reach about 272 MB. Later I’ll check SQL database size.

    The plugin I’m using are:

    Contextual Related Post

    Count per day

    Hosting Monitor

    Review Ratings

    Simple Lightbox

    Stop Spammers Control

Subscribe to Double Opt In comments

    UpdraftPlus Backup and Restore

    Wordfence Security

    WP Optimize

    Thanks

    Hello,

My advice would be leave it as it is and purchase a larger Web hosting storage. If you would like to try to disable some plugins or even do some database cleaning. I suggest you backup everything just in case anything goes wrong.

    Regards

    KC
