How to check field for duplicates before clicking submit button

    Using the following tutorial https://cfdbplugin.com/?page_id=904 I created a field on my contact form to be checked and prevented for duplicate submissions.

    Is there any way to check the field for duplicates before clicking on the submit button, preferably right after I leave that input field by either hitting Tab or clicking away? Just like those forms on websites that immediately look for your street name right after you fill in your zip code.
