How to Change WP Free Theme Background Image?

    I would like to change the featured background image of the Travel Lite free WP theme for my “Luxury Travel Services” web site: https://luxurytravelservices.me

    Through Appearrance > Theme > Customize I can change the indivudual photos (6 photos are displayed in the lower half of the home page). However, how can I change the featured background image of the man windsurfing? I would like to replace it with a different high-resolution ‘travel’ image. I do not see anywhere in the “Customize” area where I can change this image. Please help.

    The easiest method is to just upload whatever image file you want to this location on your hosting account:

    path/wp-content/themes/travel-lite/images/background.jpg

    So just use FTP or File Manager to navigate there and upload the image you want to that exact location and keep the same file name (background.jpg).

    You can verify this is the file being loaded by just going to the website and viewing the source (Ctrl + U):

    #container .thumb {background: url("https://luxurytravelservices.me/path/wp-content/themes/travel-lite/images/thumb-back.jpg") no-repeat scroll 0 0 #CCCCCC;}

    Worth noting that any updates made to the theme’s files will be erased when the theme updates.
