how to change wordpress directory to another

  • is it possible to change the wordpress folder (dir) to something else, i tried it on my local mac and the page got al messed up, is there alot of pages to be updated if we change the main folder ? i know there’s the options area in dashboard where we’d change the dir what else needs to be changed

  • Try also updating in your SQL database in the wp_options table. ??

    Login.
    Options >Change BOTH the address to what you want.
    Using ftp, move the files/folders to the new address
    Login again.

    Do not do this the other way around.
