how to change type size in sidebar

I’d like to increase the size of the type in the item list — items under Recent Posts, Archives, etc — to something just a bit larger than the slightly tiny size it is now. Right now, it’s at the low end of what’s legible, and I’d like to kick it up a couple of points from a type size used to set phrases like “Price Slightly Higher In California” or “All Mileage Figures Are EPA Estimates”, if you know what I mean.
