How to change theme without ruining the site

  • Hello, can someone help me to change the theme of my site or set a child theme or idk I need a new theme cus this one is bugged but I don’t wanna ruin my site ykk, I cant create it from scratch I have 200+ categories etc

  • If your theme doesn’t do anything plugin-related (like any theme from the WordPress repository), you can go into the Customizer and try any new theme, and configure it before publishing the changes.
    But if it does, you will need to find a plugin (or write one) to replace that functionality before you can switch themes, or your site will be very different.
