How to change the header image

Hi Jane,

so are you just trying to replace https://best-food.info/wp-content/themes/birdtips/images/headers/green.jpg with another graphic with the same dimensions 1,075px × 200px?

I was looking at the wrong theme on my FTP!

I tried lots of different themes today but that’s no excuse for stupidity.

I deserve to be spanked!

Well I thought I knew how to change it but I still don’t!

I changed the names of two jpgs in images/headers folder to “old” and uploaded two of mine correct sizes, with the original names.

The theme offers several alternative images but my new ones aren’t on offer.

Isn’t there a custom header option? Looks like it here:

Well it says, “custom-header” but what I think it means is this ..~

Just installed that theme on a test site to check on it – under Appearance > Header, there’s an option to upload your own image… Under Select Image, click on the Browse button and find the one you want to upload.

Wow! You went beyond the call of duty!

I was looking under appearance/themes/customize

Not sure that I like the new image when I see it against the white bg.

You’re welcome! It’s not bad – maybe try making the grey background and site name darker? And/or maybe putting a border between the image and white page part? Maybe green (#66874E)?
