• newbie here – i am using the pixeled theme but the header art is dull. i have tried to change it but so far i have fallen short. is there any way to do this or a specific plugin ? cheers

    By ‘have tried to change it’ what exactly have you done? Have you replaced the graphic file that came with the theme? You should look in the ‘images’ directory and find the particular image to replace. It’s usually called something ‘header’ or ‘top’ with an extension of ‘.jpg’ or ‘.png’ usually.

    there was no grapic file that came with the theme. i checked under images but i couldnt find any header images. when i tried to upload .jpg images and fiddle with the code it still didnt work. i am completely at sea here !

    A link to your blog would help. If you are seeing a header image – there HAS to be an image somewhere and you’re missing it. They are “usually” named bg.gif from what I’ve seen. Should be in the /theme/images folder.

    cheers saurus – will check again. the link is https://www.slumchums.co.uk. i just feel that the header doesnt do justice for what i want from my site. ideas at all ?

    Hola slumchums,
    Ah, it seems that the image in question is being used throughout the whole layout.
    It’s controlled via the ‘body’ tag.
    background:#000000 url(images/bgbody.jpg) no-repeat scroll center top;
    take a look at the ‘bgbody.jpg’ image. It seems that you will have to do more than just replace the header part of your site…
