• Dear all,
I am an enlighter user. I always write Python on my website. But Enlighter’s default setting is “Generic Highlighting”. It is really complex to change the code block language from “Generic Highlighting” to “Python”.
I saw previous version can change “default language” on appearance page, but I can’t find the some button in this version.
Is there a method to change the default language directly?
    Thank you all!

    Hi @andrewgong

the “default language” is ONLY used in case no EnlighterJS language has been specified (which is impossible for the Visual Editor modes).

For backward compatibility you can change this settings in Enlighter -> Options -> Advanced -> EnlighterJS

But it’s strongly recommended to add language identifiers to your code.

I assume you’re using markdown fenced codeblocks or legacy [ enlighter ] shortcode?
