How to change the background color of widget

    I’m using the Wp-Genius theme

    My question is how to change the background color of widgets i use.

    They are not text widgets.For example i use wordpress popular posts widget,categories widget etc. in the side bar.

    I tried in the style.css but there is nothing to change.

    Can someone help me?
