How to change text “There are no upcoming events.”

    Hi – my client wants me to change the text “There are no upcoming events.” to “Check back here soon for what’s next!” Is there a good way to do this (i.e., without editing the plugin files)?

    Hi,

    In that case you should make changes in the po/mo translation file with for example Poedit.

    What’s the language of your site? English US or UK?

    You can export the po/mo file via this page. If you’re not able to do this yourself, I can send you both files (with the changed string).

    Hi,

    English US is the default WP language and not available on the translation page.

    I advice you to export the English UK po file and make the change there (via Poedit).
    Save po file. A mo file is auto created.
    Change file name of both po / mo file: very-simple-event-list-en_US
    Upload both files to folder wp-content > languages > plugins
