I created a custom taxonomy via CPT UI for the core WordPress posts and I’d like to edit the label that displays on the taxonomy’s public archive page. I’d want it to be different than the label used in the backend (i.e. post list, post edit) but can’t figure out the option to do this.

    Hi @scdesmond

Are you referring to the term description for a given term? Taxonomies themselves don’t get an archive similar to post types, so each archive is very likely for a specific term.

As is, I’m assuming you mean the description field like shown in this screenshot?

I suspect there could be multiple ways in which you could create an admin-only field for a description, and then one that is meant for the frontend, but I don’t have a “best method” suggestion nor is this something that CPTUI itself handles in some way.
