  • Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Have you tried setting the columns widths via CSS with the instructions from the TablePres FAQ at https://tablepress.org/faq/column-widths/ ?

    Hi Tobias,
I wont get a chance to try it ’till tonight…but that looks like what I need!
I have another question…I have a plug-in (Colored votes) that has no area to set CSS that I can tell. Just based on your general knowledge, do you know where I might find the CSS? Is there a Master CSS that I can find all my plug-ins in?
Colored Votes give 3 options: polls (your current created polls), “add new”, and “settings”. But “settings” is only a limited series of radio buttons, no CSS that I can tell. I have tried almost every poll/survey out there and none of them allow multiple questions with one vote radio button except Colored Votes…that I have found.
I know that is not your plug-in, but you seem to know alot about alot of stuff!
    Thanks!
    Frankie

    Hi Frankie,

the Colored votes plugin most likely has its CSS code in a file inside the plugin directory.
You should however not edit that as those changes would get lost after an update of the plugin (due to the way how plugin updates work).
Instead, you could add your CSS changes to the “style.css” file of your theme (if it’s a child theme).
You could also add it o the “Custom CSS” in TablePress actually, if you wanted to. As your voting boxes are inside the tables, that would probably even make sense.
(Note that it’s not important which plugin actually adds CSS code to the page, as long as it is added.)

    Tobias

    Hi,

no problem, you are very welcome! ?? Good to hear that this helped!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!

    Hi,
How do I find the Colored votes plugin in a file inside the plugin directory. How do I get into the plugin directory?
I will take your advice and make changes to CSS in tablepress, but I dont even know how to tell colored votes to do anything. I figure if I can see the CSS then I can attempt to extrapolate from there.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

I’m not really sure what you mean here. “Colored votes” should have a subfolder in the “wp-content/plugins” directory on your server. That’s where it stores all its files.

    Regards,
    Tobias
