• I’ve been using ReactPress for 2 years successfully. This is an excellent plugin.

On my wordpress site, I need to change the slug for the ReactPress app but couldn’t get it to work. my current appname and slug is oldapp

    1. I deleted the oldapp from ReactPress – Then deleted the original page oldapp on WordPress
    2. created a new page in wordpress with the new slug, newapp
    3. created a new app folder in /reactpress/apps/newapp
    4. copied compiled build folder to /reractpress/apps/newapp
    5. changed ownership of all files with chown to www-data:www-data
    6. Inside wordpress, went to reactpress – it found the newapp I copie. In ReactPress settings in wordpress, tried to add new page to the newapp.
    7. I get something went wrong error in reactpress UI.

Not sure how to deal with this issue.

question: I changed the slug only but didn’t change anything else in CRA. Is this the problem?

feel kind of stupid – I just had to change the slug but keep the page name the same.

however it would be nice to know how I could change the page name?

    Hi @afshinmoshrefi,

glad you are using ReactPress this long. Did you already review it?

Back to your question. Assuming you mean the name of the page where your app is embedded: You need to go to this page in your WordPress Admin and change the page title there.

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers

yes I wrote a review 4 months ago.

I think the problem I encountered was with Divi, my page builder and ReactPress canvas when I tried to change the page name, somehow template was changed to Divi and it caused page rendering issues.

It worked fine with changing the slug as long as template stays the ReactPress canvas.
