How to change my domain name without losing my site

  • Hello, I am working for a client who has both a wordpress site and a Weebly site. Do to a groupon sale that she is doing on her weebly site, she wants to transfer the domain of her wordpress site to weebly for a short amount of time. Then later she wants to bring the domain back to wordpress.

    I just want to know:

    1. If we transfer the domain to weebly, will her wordpress site be lost? ( I say this because to log into a wordpress site, you have to use the url with a /wp-admin on the end. If the domain is transferred to a different site, how will I log into the WordPress one?

    2. If I change the wordpress domain to a sub-domain, and then switch it around once it’s done, will that work? If so, how do I change the wordpress domain to a sub-domain? And vise-versa? Will all the settings be intact? Nothing lost?
