How to change language

Settings > General. Change the WordPress language. Then you’ll be prompted to download a language pack.

site language already set to german (before installing woocommerce)
after installing woocommerce I had no option to download a language pack

just tried to switch to english and back to german… still no effect regarding woocommerce

I also tried WooCommerce>System Status>Tools>Force Translation Upgrade:
then I get this message:
“Failed to install/update the translation: Sorry but there is no translation available for your language =/”

it′s a fresh wp install and woocommerce is the only plugin

You can download the translations from https://github.com/woothemes/woocommerce-language-packs/tree/master/packages and install in wp-content/languages/plugins.

thanks. I tried manually and that worked. are future updates possible then? or do I always have to manually upload them?

the post is talking about curl problems.. is this a client oder a serverside problem?

this was suggested in the thread as solution:
add_filter( ‘https_ssl_verify’, ‘__return_true’ );

where should I enter this?

You’re welcome. Should be. However, if you do bump into any issues, simply do it manually the same way you just did. There is no need to worry about adding any filter for workaround.
