    Hello:

I would like to know how to change the URL of the Media Attachment Page from the “?attachment_id=” to a word. Here is an example:

    I want to change this:
    https://www.psychedeliczen.com/?attachment_id=1635

    To This:
    https://www.psychedeliczen.com/celtic-fairy

I used to use NextGen gallery, but recently switched to FooGallery instead. They had a convenient importer that moved all my images to FooGallery from NextGen, and in doing so, the Media Attachment pages already had this clean URL. However, when I add a new image to FooGallery, it defaults to the ?attachment_id. I looked online everywhere and could not figure out how to change it. I am not able to change the Permalink on the Edit page for the image.

I realize many people do not use or like the Image Attachment pages. However, I use these instead of a lightbox because I like to type very long descriptions with links and such, which is not feasible with a lightbox. I also like to add my own social media share buttons, which is difficult to do with a free lightbox.

Any help provided will be greatly appreciated.

I posted this question one week ago and have yet to receive any replies. I have searched for my problem in the forum and on Google, and have not found anything to help solve my problem. Is there anyone who can possibly help me?
