    Hello,

I have used Elementor and WordPress’s default customize menu but I still couldn’t translate some labels on my page of which I provided the link. My page will be in Turkish, I translated other parts of “Martfury” theme by using the tools and changing the lines in source code files. But on this page, “Categories”, “Best Seller Items”, “By Brands” and “By Prices”, I didn’t manage to edit these content despite the tools and checking source code (not found).

I’d like to receive your help to access those parts.

    Thank you

  • Hey,

You may want to take a look at the ‘Say What’ plugin. I think this may help you.

Thank you for sharing. Unfortunately it did not work. I suppose it searches (like regex search) and I personally did that already. I don’t know how to get this done although I tried many ways. For further suggestions, please let me know.

Another suggestion… Have you checked if there are translation files for the plugins you’re using?

It looks like you’re using WooCommerce and the best sellers plugin. Both would have .pot files that you can use for translating.

Here you can find more info: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/best-sellers/

    I hope this helps.

    Hello,

I appreciate your help @dvaer, unfortunately I couldn’t find ” best-sellers-for-woocommerce -> languages folder -> best-sellers-for-woocommerce.pot” as it’s mentioned in the link you shared. My page is probably “Shop” or “Best Seller Products” or maybe “Items”. I used grepWin app to search that label but no, I tried Say What to find that label but failure again. I don’t understand why those labels are not found in source code. I really don’t know what to do. I have got stuck in that for 2 weeks and I need to complete as soon as possible. I may create a new Shop page but it would take time indeed.

    Thank you again.

    Hi,

I don’t think you have to create a new shop page. You’re almost there. These things can be frustrating, but I’m sure you’ll be able to figure it out.

The first thing to do (I think) is to figure out which plugin (or theme) is putting that text there. If you think it’s ‘Best Sellers for WooCommerce’, you can switch off the plugin for a minute and test if the text goes away. If it does, you know this plugin is the one that writes the text there. Otherwise, switch off a different plugin until you find it.

Next, I would contact the author of the plugin and explain that you want to translate this piece of text. Ask if they have a .pot file that you can use. If they do you can now use a program called poedit to make the translations.

I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. Nice site by the way!

    Hello again @dvaer,

I found the solution. There was only one part that I didn’t take into account. The changes which are made by WP Customize is not being stored in source codes in cPanel (natro.com). That’s why “grep” search did not work. Today I have experienced something, that feeling.. (you know ?? )

Thank you so much for all,
    Good luck with your works!

Aha, that makes sense. Yes, these changes are in the database. Great realisation, and I’m happy you got it sorted. Thank you for sharing your solution too. This way we all learn something.

    Good luck with your business!
