How to change email address for updates

    [ Moved to the Fixing WordPress sub-forum. ]

    When WordPress does its automatic updating thing (ie from 4.7.2 to 4.7.3) it sends an email to say it’s done. I am leaving my ISP soon and have been changing my email address on everything. I have changed it in the Users section of WordPress and I have changed it on my domain name and at my hosting provider. But the recent update notification was sent to my old email address. Can someone please tell me where it is getting that address from? When I logged in here just now, I changed from the old email address. Was it getting it from here? Seems odd, since you don’t need to be signed up here to install WordPress. But if it’s here, then it’s done. But could it be coming from somewhere else?

    Hello SaladGoat,
    Check your email address in the “General Settings” section of the Dashboard:
    Click “Settings”, then look next to “Email Address”
