How to change default text in WordPress?

I wrote this for WordPress 2.0.2, and have not tested it in a while, but it may work for 2.1. If not, it may at least give you some ideas.

It is a modification that allows you to show the first part of password protected posts. It shows everything before the ‘more’ tag, then displays the password box after.
