How to change default post text colour?

  • can anyone show me please how best to set the default post colour for my blog. currently the default is grey and i’ve been changing the posts manually to dark purple but it would be great not having to do this each time.

    would also be great to find out how to change the text colour of the sidebar text used in the text widget i have up there just now
