How to change DB prefix in local host installation

  • I have a local host installation of most current WP version 4.1.1. The Acunetix WP Security – Database Tools tell smy my admin user does not have alter rights and therefore cannot change the WP database prefix. (Note: I also note that the WP Security Dashboard displays no data about my local host site). When I use Acunetix WP Security on a live site, no problem. What is it about a local host installation that puts up a roadblock here? I’d like to change the database prefix before I do anything else (not after I design my whole site, install and configure plugins, then take it live). What to do?
