How to change custom fields text fields to dropdown options?

  • Ok, I know there are plenty plugins out there can do this. But for some reasons I need to know how to change the custom field’s input type from original text fields to dropdown menu manually? I prefer to change it on theme’s function.php files, any one know how to do it?
