    Hi,

This plugin is great, thanks very much for your work on it.

I have one question: in the default form field, the titles given in the field input areas contain capitalisations that are grammatically incorrect. For example, they say ‘Your Name’ instead of ‘Your name’, and ‘Confirm Your Email Address’ instead of ‘Confirm your email address’. Is there an easy way to change this?

I had tried going in and hacking the source files of the plugin to change this text, but this probably doesn’t make long-term sense as these changes will be overwritten if I update the plugin. Additionally, this seems to break multilingual forms, as the translation files rely on the text remaining capitalised.

If you could help me with this, I’d be very grateful!

    Thanks.

  • Hi There,

As you probably gathered the plugin does not let you change the text via the settings. As you say hacking isn’t a long term solution. You could edit the .po file for your language and then recompile to .mo using poedit.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Meg,

    Thanks for the reply.

If necessary, I’m fine with leaving the translations out. I just need a way to remove the default capitalisation in English! Is there no way to do this apart from hacking the plugin? Alternatively, could the default capitalisation be changed in the next plugin update?

I was suggesting that you change the English which would mean creating a file called cleanandsimple-en_GB.po. You could then make your changes there.

I am sure you are aware that this is a simple plugin so unfortunately not everything is customizable via the settings screen.

I will add this enhancement to my list.
