The SayWhat plugin is really great. I’m a newbie to WP and use WooCommerce to make a website for an artist friend. To change some text I had already found code which you could put into the functions.php file in my child theme that made the necessary changes. I then tried also tried the Loco Translate plugin which allows you to change default expressions/text into something else.
However I’ve stopped using those and instead use the SayWhat plugin because it is so easy and simple to use, and there will probably never be a problem when updating themes etc, (unless the authors change their default expressions/text).

One problem I did have with the SayWhat plugin was that in the WooCommerce “Add to basket” button text on the product page would not change, so I had to force the change using code added to the functions.php in the child theme.

Then I suddenly thought that perhaps I should try to use “Add to cart” although I was seeing “Add to basket” as the text string to be replaced and “woocommerce” as the text domain (same as I used before). And presto the “Add to basket” changed to the text I wanted “Make it Yours”.

So if I was you, go and use the SayWhat plugin. I use the free one, but I can imagine that if you use it a lot that you may appreciate the automatic search function of the upgrade option.

look for the case of the original string, I struck once in this, as the case of letters I used was different from the original string.
