I would like my blog page to be full page with no slider, but I can’t change the page template to full page. The theme seems to default to the slider and right sidebar. Is there a way to change this?

You’ve tried selecting the full-width template on the actual page, correct? And it still won’t change?

Is it your main page that won’t change?

Yes–I’ve tried selecting the full width template (which works on any other page except the home page and the blog page.) My blog page is not the home page as that page is static.

The home page has a slider and a right sidebar. Right now, the blog page is locked into the same layout. I really would prefer to have it full page no sidebar.

The Frontier theme customization allows the user to choose a default template which I chose the first one with a right sidebar. This template also has the slider. Apparently, that option ties the home page and the blog page into using the same template. I want the slider and right sidebar on the home page, but no slider and no sidebar on the blog page. You can see the website at https://www.southsidecafebutler.com.

The layout you choose on Frontier Options is the one used throughout the theme except for pages that use page templates.

You could probably achieve what you want by choosing the Full Width template for your particular page then adding a plugin shortcode that outputs the posts.
