• I seriously do not like the black sidebar menu for the dashboard.

How do I change the colour scheme back to normal?

    thanks
    Kevin

    Hi guys,

Thanks for the update. I know you worked hard and we appreciate your efforts. For anyone with vision trouble the black sidebar is painful to read. The font is a strain as well. At minimum, is there a way to change from the black side bar?

Go to Users > Your Profile and you can change the color schemes.

WP Tavern just wrote up an article on adding more color schemes to it as well: https://www.wptavern.com/get-more-admin-color-schemes-for-wordpress-3-8

    Well said freshpie,

I guess I could also have been a bit more diplomatic in my request ??

I do appreciate all the work of people at WordPress but the new look does have accessibility issues for people with sight problems.

Every user can change their admin color scheme by in their profile. Go to:

    • Your Profile (for users that aren’t Administrators)
      – OR –
    • Users > Your Profile (for Administrators)

If you find the default color scheme jarring, the “Light” one is probably for you.

If you’re interested in finding even more color schemes, try the brand new Admin Color Schemes plugin.

Kevin, I just discovered they give you the option to change the colors. Go to Users>Your profile>Personal Options and there are several colors to choose from. Now I just need to figure out how to change the font.

    Hi guys

    My little problem is :

Font In admin panel of 3.8 is too big

is someone can say which css must be edited

If I change color scheme to light, the sidebar and top panel became same color. I suggest to change top panel color to black as it was in old design.
