How to change behavior of out of stock is set automatically to not sync

From what I gather, you need your store’s out of stock products to not show in your Instagram shop. Correct?

Kindly note that with the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin, at the moment, Instagram shopping support is not available. You can use Instagram Shopping extension if you need users to checkout from Instagram.

Could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Just to clarify, out-of-stock products are not synced to Facebook.

Yes i know by default out of stock is set to not sync but i wish it can just hide and sync. is there a way to change this behavior?

I know you can change it one by one , but imagine doing this for 1k products.

For bulk editing products, feel free to utilize the Bulk Edit > Product Data section, as showcased in the screenshot linked here.

The option to bulk edit products, showcased in this screenshot, can be found on the screen at Products > All Products.

The steps to follow are:

• Open-up the screen at Products > All Products
• Check the checkboxes of a few products you would like to bulk edit (the checkboxes appear to the left of each product line)
• Select the dropdown menu, found up-top, above the checkboxes on the same screen (as showcased in the screenshot)
• Go ahead with selecting either “Include” or “Exclude” from Facebook sync

Yes dear i saw that options, but i dont want just to include in sync , i want all products that are set to out of stock to be hide and sync like the single edit facebook sync options show. https://snipboard.io/UoZaVb.jpg

The default behavior is when you set out of stock it turns to not sync. But i want to be hide and sync.

My question is , is there no option to change that behavior or bulk edit all out of stocks to hide and sycn, ( not to include or exclude from sync )

Bulk editing works best with Simple products, and cannot edit the complexities of variable, grouped, or other complicated products. Linked here is the related documentation, for reference.

Therefore, while bulk editing of this option is not available while in the WordPress backend, the products (and their variations) can be exported, have their metadata changed in bulk, and then imported again.

To clarify, the metadata columns from Facebook, for each product and variation, would be:

• Meta: fb_visibility
• Meta: _wc_facebook_sync_enabled
• Meta: fb_product_description
• Meta: _wc_facebook_product_image_source
• Meta: fb_product_imageMeta: fb_product_price

Im thankful that you are trying to help me, but honestly the answer is not clear for me. Its possible to turn all out of stock products in bulk to sync and hide option?

In case yes which meta should i use? i only see Meta: _wc_facebook_sync_enabled which only turn sync enabled not to sync and hide.

In the instructions i dont see a clear answer about if that is possible or not to do? Can you tell me if yes or not possible, please?

I think this should be an option in facebook for woocommerce, that option are very important for everyone using the plugin. Or at leata a simple php or helper plugin to add a fix for that, so everyone can be able to change that behavior.

Why would someone will want to not make an out of stock product to not sync instead of just hide and sync?

Hide and sync prevent out of stocks products from showing in facebook while wasting budget from ads and also not showing to all visitior a bunch of product not available.

That solution in the post didnt work for me but helped me out to discover whats can causing it.

When selecting the option Hide out of stock items from the catalog from woocommerce inventory settings. Makes out of stock products to go ( Do not sync ) in facebook settings

I made a test by unchecking the option ( Woocommerce Hide out of stock items from the catalog) and every product that goes to out of stock now goes to Sync and show in catalog.

Whats the real problem for me? I must use the Hide out of stock items from the catalog option in woocommerce. Why? because i dont want to show all out of stock products in my store just hide it.

Same for facebook catalog i want that every product that i set to out of stock take the option hide and sync.

Why this is something very difficult to achieve? this is a very important option not for me only ( for everyone ). I have checked all post about out of stock issue and how to hide but keeping the sync and seemed to be no solution.

I wish this option can be changed or at least with a helper plugin or something.

There is wrong behavior…
1) Last week the product was in stock and synced with fb.
2) Over the weekend the product was sold out and stopped syncing with fb
3) Today the product is back in stock (stocks are being updated by API from my ERP software), but the product is NOT syncronizing again to fb

*Additional wrong behavior: If the product is already synced to fb and then it goes out of stock, it stops syncing but the product is still showing in fb catalog

In mine works like this
In stock : Sync and show in catalog
Out of stock : Not sync

When i put in stock back, it turns to Sync and show in catalog

But this must be editable. I wish i can let the woocommerce option hide out of stock for my website store and also set the facebook to let out of stock hide and sync

Not to me. I checked it manually again…
I put 1 unit in stock and turn on sync to fb… got a Facebook ID for the product
Then I changed the stock to zero… Facebook sync status changed to “do not sync”
Then changed the stock to 1 unit and Facebook sync keeps “do not sync” status
Then turn on fb sync again and… got a new Facebook ID…
… if getting a new Facebook ID means that creates a new product to fb catalog, there are something working really bad
