How to change background loading size?

    Background loading size is always square matching the width size and it breaks the layout when image width is much bigger than image height. Is it possible to somehow set the background loading size?

    For example, I have in the footer an image 40 x 570px and when before it loads, there’s this huge space like 570 x 570 px.
