How to change attachment post status?

  • I made an ajax plugin to change post status. It works fine on post and page list. but not working with attachments(gallery tab).
    Firebug shows the switching of status are working and got correct response. The link on media item list also changed from “Inherit” to “Publish”, but it just not get saved. After refreshing tab, the old “Inherit” comes back. in database post table, can see the status are not changed.
    Is it impossible to change attachment status?
