I have an order where someone ordered a product on backorder paying via Square credit card. I offered her a replacement that’s more expensive so she didn’t have to wait and she wants that. If I change the order status from processing to on hold so I can change the items on the order will that be a problem since they used a credit card to pay? Will it automatically refund them or something or can I do this and there be no issue at all?

    Thank you very much!!

  • Hi there @themassapothecary,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Did I get it right that you need just to switch products without additional payment from the customer?

Indeed, you can edit your order by switching its status to On-hold and then to Processing after changing the items.

However, please note that this transaction will not be updated in your Square dashboard: it will have the old totals and the old item on record.

    Hope it helps!

    Hi there @themassapothecary,
