How to change a role to UM user role without adding new one

  • Hi,

    Im using Ultimate Member for my LMS site and its working great, but I just found out that I need to create users within UM (with assigned “um_**use role**”) for it to work with drop down role sector or even radio role selector.

    I am using an add-on which has created a very elaborate role (instructor role add-on plugin) for Learndash and I cannot reproduce the instructor role in UM without risk of breaking the site because it has its own unique meta. Is there any custom code or method to help move this role (as a clone) into a UM role with a UM meta?

    Or if you could suggest another way to accomplish this it would be much appreciated!
