How to centralize and customize footer

Hi,
We wish to customize our website’s footer in 2 ways:

1- Centralize the social media icons and add a little space between each of them.
2- Add a new widget/footer row (not column) where we can add the links to ‘Legal’, ‘Leave a message’ and ‘FAQs’. We want the label of these links to be centralized below social media icons, and equally spaced.

I tried achieving these objectives in the customize section but my theme (squared-child) apparently doesn’t allow any visual footer styling options.
