Do you still want the blue behind the image though?

yes I want the blue behind the banner, but weirdly when I put that in it just took away the blue and made the banner white but still not transparent

the white parts on the side of the blue should be transperant so you can see the background in the header beside the blue part

Ah, okay, probably the best way to do that is to make a transparent image (in photoshop or whatever) and use that as a background image where that white is coded.

If you want that background image to be visible in the header section, then you need to use a CSS selector that includes the header – right now, it’s below that part of the page…

Looks like you’d need to use the body tag – see if this works:

body {
    background-attachment: fixed;
    background-image: url("https://thegemgenerator.com/generator/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/bg.jpg");
}

You’ll need to remove other CSS that’s interfering with how the rest of it looks.

now its back how it used to be all blue, which I dont mind too much so ill leave it like this, thanks for all the help! WPyogi, if I need more should I comment here or make a new thread
