How to Cache CDN Files with W3 Total Cache

    Frederick,

    I just want to say a huge thank you for W3TC! It is a wonderful plugin, and I am blessed to be able to use it.

    I have it integrated with MaxCDN, and I’ve run into an issue that I can’t quite figure out. I’ve run my site through the Web Page Test, and the link is below:

    As you can tell from the images, none of my content is being cached that is served from my CDN. I’m not really sure why, but I wanted to know if there was a way to do this. It should speed up repeat visits much more if this is possible. Can I do something about this with W3TC or would I need to adjust a setting on MaxCDN’s side?

    I have been hunting and hunting and still cannot find any solutions for this. Any ideas here? I know it can be done because I have run the same test for Yoast’s site, and the majority of his CDN files are cached after the initial visit.

    Browser cache settings are mirrored by MaxCDN and must not be set if you are seeing that failure. Use the browser cache settings to make sure that the caching policies are set on those files and retest.

    Got it figured out..somehow there was a setting in my .htaccess file that was preventing browser caching. I got it cleared out and now it is working well. Thanks again for your help!
