How to BULK Edit Product SEO metadata & descriptions with WooCommerce CSV?

I guess that will depend on the specific SEO plugin you’re using, as there’s no one standard way to do SEO in WordPress or Woocommerce.

Consequently, you’ll be best served by asking your SEO plugin’s author.

I’m trying out Yoast, but I can use any SEO plug-in that will allow me to bulk enter SEO meta descriptions.

I did post this question on the Yoast plug-in page and am waiting for a reply. Most likely, this can be done if I buy their premium version.

Do you have any suggestions for an SEO plug-in or any plug-in that will allow me to use a spreadsheet to bulk enter SEO titles and descriptions for my existing products, please?

Yoast requires a paid add-on to work with Woocommerce. See: https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/yoast-woocommerce-seo/

I’m not much into SEO, so I don’t know what specific tools are out there.

But when it comes to importing data into WordPress, my go-to solution is the WP-All-Import plugin, which has addons for all the popular SEO plugins out there. See: https://www.wpallimport.com/

I found a way to manually edit / update the SEO titles and descriptions, which works for me because I don’t have a lot of products yet.

How and where to add / edit / update SEO DESCRIPTIONS and SEO TITLES with the Yoast BULK EDIT TOOL – updating SEO metadata.

Admin?>?Yoast SEO plugin?>?Tools?>?Bulk Editor.??

The page opens to the “Title” form. If not, Click “Title” to update SEO titles. Update all on one page for as many products as you have. Keep going to the next set of pages, etc.

Click “Description” to update the SEO descriptions. Update all on one page for as many products as you have. Keep going to the next set of pages, etc.

It’s a bit tedious but a plugin wasn’t going to help since I had to revise all my titles. Finished that this morning. Next up is updating the SEO descriptions.

At that time I see that I was using Yoast – the free version.

I had been watching a lot of YouTube videos and came across a YouTuber, who is a reseller of various plug-ins called PluginsForWP or go to the website PluginsForWP.com (no spaces) Check it out. He has a sale going on right now and he regularly has sales for holidays.

I thought about this and created (almost) a universal SEO plugin (premium) that allows you to bulk edit meta titles and descriptions of posts, pages or WooCommerce products from a single page efficiently and quickly. The CSV import/export is going to be next.

Would you be interested in beta testing it?
