How to Build with WordPress on Siteground

Please help! I’m a total newbie.

Have domain. Have medium Siteground plan for hosting. Have www.remarpro.com login. Have WordPress installed on Siteground. Can’t for the life of me figure out how to get a WordPress template and put it on Siteground for customizing and hosting. Siteground have a Weebly app that helps but costs $8/month ongoing to customize a limited array of templates.

I don’t understand how it all fits together. I can download templates but they’re just zipped files on my laptop. How do I make them download to Siteground? Or to a place I can use them?

I swear I’m not an idiot. I’ve googled and searched and spent hours upon hours trying to figure it out.
