• Hi all,

I intend to use WordPress as the basis to a knowledge management system where I’ll store a series of forms describing documents.

This forms are going to be WordPress posts with several Custom Fields.

My question is: how can I search and browse posts by multiple Custom Fields values? I.e., I would like to browse posts by choosing Author, Date, Title, Subject etc (these all are going to be Custom Fields in my blog).

How can I do it? I’ve found some plugins to search both the content and the Custom Fields of posts, but nothing concerning a “Custom Field Filter” or something like that…

Thanks a lot for your attention!

    Luiz

    Thanks for the link!

Nevertheless, I was thinking less of a search box and more of a series of dropdown lists that act like filters… I would like the user to be able to select one or more values to each custom field key and then hit a ‘Search’ button. This search would then return only posts that match all of the selected values.

I think I’ll just have to build a php page with that functionality, maybe using that search function to power it, right?

I’d like to do this also:

I use a customfield by-line to denote who a particulary news story is written by (couldn’t use authors as the author won’t be updating) I wanted to be able to search for all posts by a specific by-line..
