How to block wp content urls showing when hovering on a thumbnail?

    I have WP protection plugin on website and now I found out and find very annoying that the wp content urls show up hovering over thumbnails. and not that someone would go spend the time typing out urls, but if they did, they would have access to all the photo content. very annoying.

    does anyone know how to block wp content url showing up when hovering over a thumbnail? I need a solution.

    That’s not possible.

    What’s happening is that the photo’s URL is visible in your site’s source (go to View -> Developer -> View Source in Chrome, Tools -> Wed Developer -> Page Source in Firefox). The URL is in the page source, because the page source is what the browser sees, and then renders to something graphical that humans see. If the photo’s URL isn’t in the page source, then the photo isn’t on your site.

    The URL you see at the bottom when hovering over the photo is simply the browser reporting the URL that’s in the source.

    In short, there isn’t really much use to even attempting to block something like this. If it’s on your site, it must be in source, and the people who want to take it already know to check the source.

    Thank you James for your reply. I will look at all these things you mentioned. I had seen one thread on this subject (someone asking the same question as me) but the topic was closed. So I thought I’d ask cos I had only noticed it now – the url on the bottom left ?? . Its not major I don’t have big massive photographs of landscapes. but there I was thinking grand I have wp protection cos you like to show stuff on website, that’s what its for – to show stuff only. well anyways ??
