    Hi,

I have some malicious users/spammers who subscribe as users to my WordPress website.

They are doing it with email adresses like “@example.com”.

What is the best practice here?
Should I delete those users in the WordPress admin?
Is there also a way to block them? Or to prevent that they sign in by blocking any user with an email “@example.com” to subscribe/sign in to my website?

Thank you very much in advance for your help/advice.

    Best regards.

  • Hi @fotske,
Unfortunately Wordfence does not have a feature to block user registrations with specific email addresses. I would recommend you add some kind of captcha to the registration form that prevents bots from registering.

    Hi @fotske,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’ve gone ahead and marked this thread as resolved.

Please feel free to open another thread if you’re still having issues with Wordfence.

    Thanks!
