How to block template page?

    I’m fairly new to WP, but I have installed the plugin and it is working great, love it! I have tested the password on my Posts and Pages that i have blocked and it is working fine.

    However, the theme I’m using displays a blog page which displays a list of my Posts. I want this blog page to be blocked, but when I check off the block page for this it does not work. I’m thinking it may have something to do with the template for that page. In order for that blog page to display a list of my posts, I have selected a Blog template.

    So basically, when I click the blog menu item, I want to go to a login form prior to displaying the list of Posts. Is there any way to block the template page? Do I need a redirect of some sort?
