  • Hi Karl,

You can do that by going to the Sitemap page and in the Yoast SEO tools below the page (so not clicking on “Edit with Elementor”) go to the “advanced tab” and check “no” on the “does Google need to follow this page”.

And below the Meta robots “none”

    Hope this helps,
    Annie

I don’t understand, the sitemap page is this:
    https://www.informationmarketingexpert.com/sitemap_index.xml

There’s not way to edit that page.

If you mean the search results page, I don’t see yoast settings on that page.

    Thanks

You can add the following in robots.txt

    User-agent: Googlebot
    Disallow: /yourslug/

The search results page is something like this:

    https://www.informationmarketingexpert.com/?s=test

so what slug do I use for the ‘disallow’?

    Thanks

    @redhalls try using /?s=test

ok this worked according to google’s robots tool:
    /?s=
blocks whatever I put after = i.e. whatever user searches.

Google can still index those pages if I link to them…

    Thanks
