    Hi

I am testing your plugin. How do I ONLY show available dates in the Calendar for Customers to book. Currently my client is only available to work Monday, Wed & Fri, therefore Thursday & Tuesday we need to block out?

Also HOW do we block out certain times in the day, is this possible with Amelia plugin? I can’t actually see it in the settings anywhere?

Also HOW do I setup the Payment gateway options for Customers to pay?

Can we link to Stripe or Paypal when customers are booking?

Please advise WHERE to find the settings to setup this up. Or maybe this is ONLy in the paid version?

    Thanks

    Kristin

Hi there, thank you for your interest in Amelia plugin,

The free version supports one service provider (employee), you can configure the availability schedule for him/her in the settings. Once you configure certain days to be unavailable, these days won’t be available for booking. Also only the available time slots within the available days will be listed.

Payments are available in the full version, however, we are considering adding this option to the free version as well.

Both Stripe and PayPal are supported in the full version, and also you can integrate Amelia with WooCommerce, and use any payment gateway that’s configured in WooCommerce.

Hope this helps – please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Can you also confirm as my client is only 1 person (no other employees), can we add 3 services with different pricing options to book?

Also if an appointment is 1hr and 15mins how can we offer that? I can only see in increments of hourly or half hourly?

    Thanks

Can I change the COLOUR where the blue section of the Calendar to another colour? It doesn’t really go with our current colour scheme of current website.

I can’t seem to find the settings.

    Thanks

With the fields area where the booking is being made, can we make the Phone number mandatory?

Can we add an additional field in here?

    Thanks

Sorry for all the questions. Also I was reading somewhere on another ticket, that when someone books it creates them as a user in the backend of WordPress is that correct?

If so, are they supposed to receive any emails as a user do you know?

The main reason WHy I am asking is that my client who is also using Learndash for courses to sell online and your plugin for bookings for sessions face to face, I’m wondering then if a new User is created in WordPress with your plugin, and if a customer purchases a Learndash Lesson online (this creates a new user), I’m thinking I will have duplicate names in the backend of WordPress.

Once making a booking within your plugin calendar, and 2nd time when buying a Learndash course. Thinking ahead this may become an issue… and duplication …

Please let me know your thoughts and advice.

    Thanks

Hello Kristen, thank you for reaching back out to us.

At the moment, there is no option to create multiple pricing options for a single service in the lite version of the Amelia plugin.

The duration depends on the Default Time Slot step which is configured in General Settings of Amelia.

The duration you want to set needs to be dividable by that default time slot step, so if you want to create services that last 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 1.5 hours, you would need to set the default time slot step to 30 minutes (because all 3 durations are dividable by it).

If, however, you need to configure a service (or employee’s work hours, or buffer times – anything that’s related to duration) that lasts 40 minutes, you would need to lower the default time slot step to 10 minutes, and so on.

Unfortunately, the customize page is not available in the lite version of the plugin.

You can enable the “Set a phone number as a mandatory field” option on the Amelia/Settings/General page.

In order to allow existing WordPress users to log both into WordPress (or WooCommerce, or some membership plugin) and Amelia using the same credentials, customers and employees in Amelia need to have “Amelia Customer” or “Amelia Employee” user role assigned to them.

If there’s a created WordPress user, but they don’t yet have anything purchased through Amelia, you need to enable “Automatically create Amelia Customer user” in Amelia Settings/Roles/Customer, and then – after they log into their WordPress user, once they land on Amelia’s booking page, their details will already be populated, and once they purchase the appointment, they’ll be added to Amelia/Customers; linked to the WordPress user, and they will be able to visit the Amelia Customer Panel without logging in (since they’re already logged in as a WordPress user).

If you already created a user with “Amelia Customer” but they haven’t purchased anything with Amelia yet, that user won’t be linked to any customers you have in Amelia, so before they are able to log into Amelia’s Customer Panel, they either need to book an appointment while they’re logged into WordPress, WooCommerce, or a membership plugin, or you need to create a customer by going into Amelia/Customers/Add Customer. When you create a customer, link that customer to the WordPress user, and that’s it. After that, they will be able to log in with the same password that’s used for logging into WordPress.

Please take a look at our video about this: https://youtu.be/nm7f7RDSYow

Please note: If you change the password of the employee, or the customer through WordPress, the same password will apply to Amelia’s Panels, but if you change the password through the Customer or the Employee Panel in Amelia, that password will not be applied to the WordPress user role. This is because Amelia doesn’t require a WordPress user to be created in order to grant access to the panels – that is optional, and Amelia can’t modify the password for WordPress users.

    Thanks for your detailed reply.

You mentioned: This is because Amelia doesn’t require a WordPress user to be created in order to grant access to the panels – that is optional, and Amelia can’t modify the password for WordPress users.

So if that is the case, can I change a setting that the Amelia user is NOT added as a WordPress user automatically? Then that solves my issue I was thinking.

The Customer who books an appointment wants face to face, and will most likely never purchase the ONLINE training I would say anyway.

Also could you confirm the main differences between Free Plugin and Paid plugin in features?

As in you mentioned the payment facility will be incorporated into the Free version at some stage soon, what timeframe do you think?

Can I still block out dates in Free version?

We only have 1 employee required (not others) so Free version should be fine?

We have several services (3 services), one is $50, one is $80 and 3rd service is $150 for that 1 employee for customers to book. There is ONLY 1 price for each of these services they are not the same that’s all. So it sounds like the Free version is fine for this also, as I’ve already setup the 3 services with different pricing in your plugin for testing purposes also.

Therefore currently the payment facility is NOT available therefore sounds like I need to purchase the Paid version for now ?

I have chosen the view that shows all 3 services on the one screen. There is a Search button on the top of that.

HOW do I remove the Search button as we don’t want or need that at all.

    Thanks

Also another question if my client (1 person) has 3 services available to add to a Calendar, was wondering that the SAME Calendar is available for ALL 3 services. Therefore if someone booked for Service 1 on Monday 20/6/23 at 10am, then someone else wanted to book at the same time for Service 2, that it would NOT be available to book in the Calendar.

Just ensuring that there will ONLY be 1 Calendar, and that there would be NO duplication of timeslots and all 3 services uses the exact SAME Calendar, so if 1 date is booked, then no-one else can see that Date and time option again (even if they are wanting to book another service) because it is booked for that timeslot NO MATTER what Service is chosen.

    Is this correct?

I’m assuming that is how it works and that it DOES NOT have 3 separate calendars for 3 separate services for the same 1 employee ?

As my client is the ONLY employee therefore ONLY 1 calendar needed for all services provided.

    Thanks

Hello, thank you for reaching back out to us and for your patience.

For the purpose of not creating a WordPress user when the customer books an appointment, you can disable the “Automatically create Amelia Customer user” option on the Amelia/Settings/Roles settings/Customer page.

At the moment, there are no online payment methods in the free version, thus you would need to use the Premium version for this purpose.

Which search button are you referring to?

In regards to your last question, that is right. The employee cannot be booked for multiple appointments at the same time. Thus, when there is one service booked at a specific time, no other service will be available at that time.
