    Hi there,

I use several cookie management solutions, but none of them suits me!

Here the scan result (one product) of one of my websites:
    1) IAB CMP is NOT present on the website
Risk: Absence of a CMP can have significant impact on your ad revenues!
    2) Website contains 6 problematic cookies from 3 vendors when no consent is given.
Risk: Cookies can cause liability issues!
    3) 4 non-essential vendors and 1 unknown vendors loaded without consent
Risk: When loading a vendor, this vendor already processes personal data (e.g. IP-address, Browser-Information, Surf behavior), even when the vendor does not set cookies. Loading non-essential vendors without consent can cause liability issues!
    4) Your website seems to use a cookie message that is not compliant
Risk: A non-compliant cookie message could cause liability issues!

E.g. Currently, none of my sites allows me to block, among others, Google (General / Tag Manager / Ads) before browsing!

What about “Complianz WordPress Plugin” – GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent?

Thanking you in advance for your kind reply.

    Kind regards, Eric

    Hi @eric_w10,

Thank you for considering Complianz and reaching out to us.

Non-functional cookies (and similar techniques) indeed require explicit consent from the visitor before they are allowed to be set. However, online testing tools will also mark functional cookies they do not recognize as “problematic”, such as with Functional Cookies from the Complianz plugin. Please refer to our article about this for the details: https://complianz.io/why-online-privacy-testing-tools-are-not-accurate/

If you send provide an URL to the site in question, we’d gladly have a look at the setup (you may do this via email, if you do not want to share it publicly).

Complianz can load your Google Analytics/Tag Manager scripts based on consent, we have additionally written step-by-step articles on how you can configure these tools in a GDPR-proof way. Please find these articles here:

    https://complianz.io/configure-google-analytics-4-for-gdpr/
    https://complianz.io/definitive-guide-to-tag-manager-and-complianz/

IAB TCFv2.0 is supported in Complianz Premium, but as per the WordPress Forum guidelines we are only allowed to discuss Free functionality here. If you’d like to know more about this, feel free to reach out to us by email on support@complianz.io.

    Hope this helps/clarifies!
    Kind regards,
    Jarno
