How to best run a video site in Worpress?

    I’ve got to put up a site featuring a series of 5 minute videos (only 1 on each page) and can’t seem to find a solution to the following:

    I’ve been given the files in .mpg format and each file comes in at about 300mb, taking about 17 minutes to download, which is obviously no good. The site is going to be a membership site so unfortunately embedding Youtube isn’t an option.

    I’m completely new to using video on sites (other than embedding Youtube ones), so any advice would be gratefully received.
