Is this actually possible? Just tried to fill out the backup map on my local pc but notthing seems to happen?

Can someone please tell me if this is possible or not? Hope to hear, thanks in advance.

P.s.: checked google (since this is the only proper way to search these ‘support forums’ on www.remarpro.com?) and the manual but did not find the answer.

    Thanks!

    Hi frano09,

it is absolutely possible. You would set up a backup job just the way you would on a remote web server. Just create a “Backup to folder” job and fill in your local path.

Scheduled backups, however, might not run very reliable locally as they require wp_cron() be triggered regularly. Give it a try nevertheless and let us know how it goes!

    Hi Caspar,

When i create a backup to folder job and fill in the local path (C:/Users/ADMIN/Downloads/0BACKUPS) on the tab ‘To: Map’ it just creates that specific directory on the ftp webserver.

    Hope to hear, thanks!

The “Backup to folder” is every time on the server side.

You must download it to get it on you PC or set up a FTP Connection to you pc.
