I have multiple affiliates. Some affiliates have a coupon code that is linked to their affiliate account.

I need to avoid paying out multiple commissions when a coupon code is used and an affiliate link is also used. For example, lets say a customer comes to the site using the affiliate link of affiliate #1. At checkout, they enter the coupon code for affiliate #2.

In this case it should reward only affiliate #2 (because of the coupon code). How do avoid maying multiple commissions in this case, or do I need to always manually create coupon codes for EVERY affiliate?

    Hey @deralict,

Thank you for reaching out! When a coupon code that is linked to an affiliate is used, the commission will be rewarded to the affiliate that is linked to the coupon, regardless of whether the visit was referred by another affiliate or not.

So, even if affiliate #1 refers a visitor, if this visitor makes the purchase using the coupon code that is linked to affiliate #2, affiliate #2 will be rewarded. For affiliate #1 no commission will be generated for this purchase.

Did you test this out and found that the plugin generated commissions for both affiliates? If so, please let me know exactly how you’ve tested this so that I can try to replicate your scenario on my end.

    Thank you and best wishes,

    Mihai
