How to automaticly generate galleries for all variations?

    Hi,

    During creating product variations we have an option “Create variations from all attributes”. Is it possible to add all galleries for all variations including SVI Global and Default gallery? I must add a gallery for each variation one at a time, and it lasts very long. It should be added in a split of second. I guess there is no such option, can you treat this a feature request? It would be nice to generate this for many products at once, not only one. There is no point for wasting time for that, almost always we must add all.

    Thanks for your opinion. But no, that feature make no sense since the objective of SVI is for the user to not have to build/upload so much variations galleries.

    As a quick example imagine you have 1 color and 5 sizes, following your interpretation SVI would build 5 galleries, Color + Size 1, Color + Size 2 and so on.

    When SVI would only need 1 gallery. The color gallery. because whatever the size the image to display will always be “that color”.

    The same principle applies to more attributes. With SVI you only have to target the element/attribute that needs to handle the change all the rest may just be clutter.

    If you are building so much galleries than perhaps you are not getting the full potential of the plugin (especially in the free version). But I may be wrong.

    Yes in case you mentioned when we have two attributes used for variations, colour + size it doesn’t make any sense to create galleries for all possible variations.

    But in my case, I usually have one attribute used for variations – colour, and sometimes I have 30 different colours and one image that must be changed for a particular colour, so I must create 30 galleries, and add only one photo for each gallery with colour. So I must 30 times select variation and click “Add” button. In such case, is there a way to do this differently? Maybe there is something in pro version or I miss something. If here there is no other way than to build/upload so much variations galleries, a button that allows building all possible galleries for selected attribute (just selected attribute, not all possible variations) would be nice.

    I wonder how this option works in pro version: “Default Gallery Create a default gallery to be displayed. All other images will be hidden until match occours.” It means that when I build default gallery and when a customer clicks on the front end a swatch with variation, then the main image of variation will be added to a gallery? I cannot find anything about this option in documentation.

    Hello,

    instead of loading all the images, the default gallery allows you to create a separate gallery that will be displayed as the main gallery for display. And it only changes when a variation that matches is found.
