    Hello,
New to the fourms and new to Mailpoet. LOVE The concept though and cant wait to start using it!

    Question:
I offer a free eBook in exchange for a customers email. Is there a way for maipoet to automatically put the email on a list such as a welcome email list once they enter their email to download my free eBook? (the from I am using for them to download the free eBook has their name and email input then a download button)

I know a little about wordpress to create pages but dont know much about the coding side to make it so when they enter their email to download the eBook the email automatically gets put on the Mailpoet list.

I hope that makes sense and any help would be appreciated.
    Thank You!
    Shawn

  • Yes, that’s how MailPoet (or any other email marketing solutions) works. Those who opt in to download your free eBook will be automatically added to a list you’ve created. Very little coding knowledge required to make everything work!

Thank You for the reply Joey, any idea of the code or widget to insert into my download button or where to find it?

No worries! Once you’ve created a list, then you can create a form (Settings > Forms) that comes with a button. The form can be added as a widget, or added to a post/page, using HTML, PHP, iframe and shortcode (you see those links under “Save” button).

In case you want to use your own custom button (image?), you’ll need to tweak a bit of CSS, though.
